The Dresses that Rocked the #Oscars2015

Eerybody knows, that the Oscars is the highest award body for movies all over the world. Literally, when an actor or actress wins an Oscar, they become A-list. Its like the great hallmark of success.

Thanks to E-Red Carpet live..its not just about the awards alone, but also about who wore what.

Yesternite, I stayed up watching the Oscars...and I was wowed by the dresses worn by a lot of actresses.

So I have compiled my favorites for the night
Lupita Nyongo's Calvin Klein dress was coated with over 6,000 pearls. I think she looked awesome. I was totally blown away.
Lady gaga looked divine in this beautiful work of art by French designer Azzedine Alaia. I also like the edgy red gloves, which made the whole emsemble gagacious

Princess JLO is awesome in this dress by Ellie Saab. She looked like the belle of the ball. I love

This lovely yellow Romona Keveza dress suits Jennifer well. You rock gal!!
I love the E! Presenter's dress. I don't usually like her red carpet choices..but this is IT. Suits her well.

Jessica's bold colored Givenchy dress stood out of the crowd. I love the sparkle and the slit. Beautiful

Oh Reese..You look amazing in this custom Tom Ford dress.

It would a sin not to mention Julianne Moore's Chanel Haute Couture dress embroidered with 80,000 small hand-painted white sequins.

And my best dressed goes to.........LUPITA.....Yeaaaah....am literally in awe of that dress.

On my next post i'll be sharing my worst dressed ladies..

Hello luvlies,

Unfortunately, as much as i love shoes, i realized i fairly knew the names of the numerous designs on the market. So as part of my resolution to do new things, i decided to improve my fashion vocabulary, and whilst doing that i found this chart on shoes. I hope it will enlighten some one out there

So the next time you want to describe your shoes to your friends; you know the right names to use. (Please clap for me)

For ladies who like to wear formal shoes, here's another chart with the names of different styles

How Teetee's Getting her Groove Back!!

So, those who know me well, will tell you that I like yanga...and truly i do. My sister will tell you stories of how i used to try on her heels when i was about 8, and how i would do fashion parade with my friend and neighbour at about 6 years of age.

Sincerely, now am certain that if i had paid close attention to myself, i should have studied something relating to fashion... Anyways, so prior to pregnancy i had this beautiful figure..the kind you can call figure 8..then came the pregnancy and then...

Fast forward to now, i have lost over 80% of my pregnancy weight, but am still not there yet.
So i advised myself, that the best way to loose the weight is through exercise. Thanks to my dear friend Chichi who lives very close to me, and is also a keep-fit kind of person, i started working out.

Below are pictures of me during our workout last Saturday Morning

Naturally am not a slim shady, rather i would classify myself as a woman with curves...but after childbirth, i found out the curves where becoming too much...so i had to get myself together for some workout.

Mind you, asides exercise, am also on a diet...i try as much as possible to avoid junk food. I also avoid eating after 8pm.

So that's how am getting my groove back. Oh before i forget here's a pix of me last Friday...4 months post pregnancy. Don't i look fly...*hehehehe*

Got to go...thanks for stopping by

Love Your Perfect Imperfections

One of my favorite songs this season is 'All of You' by  John Legend.  I love that song so much because it reaches deep to my soul, makes me feel good , happy and gooey. It makes me enjoy being loved and being in love.

Actually, I have always loved John Legend and his songs. At a time he was my #2 celebritycrush, #1 being Will Smith. Heheheheheh!!!..If my husband catch me ehn..

Anyway, the song says Love your perfect imperfections. Do you know your seemingly imperfection is beautiful to someone else? I once knew a very pretty girl, who was knock kneed. As in her legs were very 'K', but she was still pretty and had all the boys flocking around her.

Truth is, when love finds you, your imperfections don't matter. You may say, Oh my nose is too big (like me), or my lips are too thin or too full. Some say, i have small boobs, i wish i had big hips etc. Some people will even say, am too dark skinned, or too short, or too skinny, most times we say, i am too fat etc.

My dearies, LEARN to love and flaunt your imperfections. Did you know that everyone, no matter how seemingly perfect they look have a flaw?( Some people corrected their flaws with surgery) I think that does flaws are GOD's way of humbling us all.. sort of.

Am not saying we should not seek self improvement. If your flaw can be corrected through surgery, or exercise or dieting, why not. But if it's something you cant correct..then..EMBRACE it and LOVE it.

LOVE you, LOVE your big nose(am talking to myself). LOVE your square chin, LOVE your big ears. LOVE your perfect imperfections.

If you are BIG and CURVY,with the african woman physique, FLAUNT it with the right clothes, if your slim FLAUNT it, if you're 'leggy' FLAUNT it. Have a SWAG no matter what.

Getting Your Mumjo Back Part II

Hello Dearies,

Am back with a continuation of the post i started last week. If you missed it, you can read it here.

Last week i started on products that could hep us mums and mums-to-be get our 'MUMJO' back after delivery. Today am going to be talking about some commercial products that i know to be good.

Please note that, I have NOT been paid in any way to advertise any brand, although that would be a welcome development .Hehehe!!!! Afterall, money makes the world go round.

I have tried these products and they are working for me. Howbeit, for those of you who know me personally, please do not expect to see me looking flawless, spotless, stretch-mark-less ( Hahaha...i just coined that word). I am work in progress.

So, here are some of the products that would help us get back our facial complexion, smoothen any roughness, fade dark spots and also fight ageing.( You may think you are not ageing., but here's news for you; AS LONG AS you've dropped 1 kid...SISTER, you have started ageing.)

1. MaryKay TimeWise MicroDemabrasion Set

I cannot explain why most women have rough facial skin during pregnancy, i guess its caused by hormones. This roughness is likely to clear off after delivery, sometimes it doesn't clear. However to get that velvety smoothness, i recommend this product. It contains an exfoliating tube and a moisturizing tube.
I use it (whenever i remember) and i feel the instant smoothness of my skin. Am certain with continued usage, i would get incredible results.
Its a bit pricey, but its an INVESTMENT for your skin.

2. Mary Kay Revitalising Mask

If you cannot afford to buy the MicroDemabrasion Set, you can use this product to exfoliate your skin, and then get another good product to moisturize. You could use it as a facial mask or facial scrub.

3. Black Opal (Even Skin Tone Brightening Cream and Exfoliating Soap)

Up until recently, I have been using Black Opal product. I remember i got my first product at a cosmetics shop in Marina Lagos in 2010, and i must say i loved using the product. It gave me skin a POLISHED tone, and made me look clean and 'ajebutterish'. Although they have changed their packaging, this new product looks improved. Currently, I am not using it, but the moment i lay my eyes on it, am going to purchase it and use it. For better results, you can combine it with the soap.

..................................................................................................................................
Bottom line is, we need to EXFOLIATE and MOISTURIZE our skin to get back that tone and elasticity. Some of us need to tone our skins too (Please toning is NOT the same as bleaching ooo!).

There are numerous products in the market you can choose from, just ensure they do not contain harsh chemicals which are hazardous for your skin. I would never recommend the use of any product that contains Hydroquinone.

Next week, i would be writing about natural products that can help our skin.

I would appreciate your inputs, suggestions, comments or questions relating to this post.

Thanks for dropping by.

Must You Wear RED for Valentine?

Must You Wear RED for Valentine?

Valentine is 7 days away., and a lot of people look up to that day to receive special gifts from their lovers, and sometimes go to special places.

Its that time of the year set aside for romantic dinners dates and getaways.

Most women like myself are thinking of what to wear for that special date, and most are thinking of something red. Please, can we break out of the mould and not wear red? Pleaseeeeeeee!!!!..

Last year, i did not wear red, and this year am definitely not gonna wear red. Here are a few suggestions of non-red attires, i hope they will inspire you not to wear Red

You can b daring and go leather..this black leather ensemble portrays confidence and power.
this is one sexy attire. an off-shoulder top with a high waist skirt. there's something flirt about it.

Textured green jacket paired with gray leather skinnies for a smart casual look- suitable for a casual outting or evening date

I particularly love this Pink handbag and shoes combo with a gray top and jacket. Very stylish chic attire

Floral skirt with blue sweater and blue peep toes. Please ensure you have the legs for this before wearing it.

This cream coloured grecian dress is suitable for date late night dinner at an exclusive restaurant. Please this attire is for those ladies with legs.

This is a popular model and wife to a popular hollywood actor, what caught my attention are the leopard skin shoes. I know its a bit conservative, but it looks very classy.

So dearies, don't be part of the red crowd..stand out in something other than red.

One Love
